Products Description

Stone coated metal roof tiles are an excellent choice for protecting your home or business from the elements. These tiles are strong, durable, and long-lasting, providing reliable and stable coverage for your roof. One of the most essential features of these tiles is their rust prevention capabilities. Rust is a natural process that occurs when unprotected metal is exposed to moisture and oxygen. It can weaken the structure of the metal and cause unsightly stains or discoloration on the surface. However, with stone coated metal roof tiles, rust prevention is an integral part of the design.

The use of galvanized steel in manufacturing these stone coated metal roof tiles is a crucial factor in rust prevention. Galvanization is the process of applying a protective layer of zinc to the surface of the metal, creating a barrier that prevents external factors such as moisture and oxygen from causing rust. The zinc layer also acts as a sacrificial layer that corrodes before the metal underneath it, protecting the integrity of the underlying metal. Due to this, stone coated metal roof tiles are rust-resistant and can withstand the harsh outdoor elements, including sun, wind, rain, and snow.

Additionally, stone coated metal roof tiles are treated with various coatings that add an extra layer of protection against rust and other elements. These coatings come in different colors and finishes that enhance the look of the roof tiles and also shields them from any external agents that can cause rust or other corrosion. All these measures demonstrate that stone coated metal roof tiles are incredibly robust and can stand up to any weather condition without wearing or corroding, thereby ensuring long-lasting protection for your roof.

Like other roofing systems, JHL is fire-resistant and will not crack due to frost. The small dimensions of the panels allow for negligible thermal expansion and, due to the strength of the steel, it also demonstrates mechanical resistance to hailstone perforations up to 50 mm in diameter.
The surface of JHL roof panels is made of stone particles, which are surprisingly effective at damping the sound of rain. The variability in the shape of the roof, combined with its low transport costs and ease of handling on site, means significant savings in construction time and costs can be achieved.

FAQ

Q: JHL is a metal sheet roof covering. What noise does it make during the rain?

A: Rain noise reduction is one of the exceptional features of all JHL roof coverings that have the stone granulate surface. Along with the profile and small size of the sheets, the acrylic layered coating and the stone granulate coating prevent the typical "drumming" of the drops during the rain as well as resonance during the wind. The resulting effect will be that you won´t recognize by the noise if you have a roof made of concrete or JHL.

Q: Does the moss catch on the granulate?

A:The trapping of impurities and the growth of algae, mosses and lichens is comparable to other types of rough surface coverings. JHL adds fungicidal and algagicidal ingredients to the top layer to help keep the roof surface clean and moss-free for approximately 7 to 10 years depending on local conditions. It is recommended to clean the surface with a germicidal solution at least every 2-3 years or whenever lichen appears on the roof in addition to moss. Do not use high-pressure washers (WAP), mechanical substances, or biological impurity removers containing acids and salts when cleaning. When using germicidal solutions, follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not step on the roof covering.

Q: What is the lifetime and warranty of JHL?

A: Extended warranties of up to 50 years are available for stone-coated products; the length of the warranty is determined through rigorous testing and allows for significant margins. Roof coverings have a fairly long lifespan—about 80 years.

Q: Is it possible to walk on the JHL roof covering?

A: For a safe movement on the roof, for servicing antennas or solar panels, or for cleaning chimneys, there are foot steps and walkway grids available, which have to be built into the JHL roof panels during the installation, already. Walking on the laid roof covering can cause its deformation of the panels and damage on the surface finish.

Q: Is a special equipment required for installation?

A: It is not advisable to shorten the removable roof covering with a circular saw or grinder, as this will burn the corrosion protection of the steel plate. Sheet metal scissors (mechanical or electric) must be used to cut the panels, a mechanical extension of the electric drill ("turbine scissors"), which can cut the panels easily and quickly. Panels can be fastened to and by stainless steel screws using a pneumatic nail gun or stainless steel screws. The rest consists of common plumber equipment.
